Table Styling: Hen Party with We Are Twinset

When the lovely Sarah of We Are Twinset called to ask for my help with a hen party for their designer Hope of by.hope, I was beyond excited to come up with some beautiful ideas!

To match the girls' effortless style, I opted for a gorgeous muted feminine palette of pinks, creams, white and greys. And to celebrate their creative talents, I decided to set up a still life painting session with mini easels, brushes and paints to have fun expressing their inner artist for the evening!

If you're planning a hen party, adding a creative activity like this is a brilliant way for everyone to get to know each other better, and this table is a great reminder that creating a stunning look like this can actually be really simple.

LAYING THE TABLE

To create a unique centrepiece and to free up space for the easels, I used a clothes rail to tie a selection of gorgeous silk ribbons, hanging them loosely above the centre of the table.

For the still life inspiration, I arranged a few vases of freshly cut flowers and greenery, bowls of fruit, and loose items like single apples and lemons on a corner table draped in a large piece of floral fabric. I also placed some smaller arrangements along the table in vintage glass bottles and jugs to ensure everyone had something close by to study for their painting.

Each place setting had an easel with some thick white card, a palette for mixing colours, some paintbrushes and an apron. I also placed a few large jugs of water along the centre of the table for cleaning brushes, and made sure a good selection of paint colours were ready to grab.

I chose a pretty selection of TSK mix and matched crockery, glassware and napkins (see the full table edit below) for the place settings. Using a variety of cute ceramic bowls and vintage cake stands as serving platters, I plated up some pre-ordered sushi, healthy snacks, sweets, and a stunning celebratory cake on a separate table so that everyone could go and help themselves throughout the evening. I scattered little vintage glass bowls of sweets along the table as snacks for later and decorated the buffet table with disco balls for a little bit of sparkle.

We had so much fun setting this up and wanted to send our love to the Twinset team and our congratulations to Hope once again!
