A Spring Makeover
It’s no secret that I love the change of seasons, especially when its waving goodbye to the winter months.
Spring is a time when we shake off the autumnal colours of our interiors and introduce some light pastels ahead of Easter. The dining table is the perfect place to start.
Laying the Blooms
How pretty is this pink table! You can decorate your spring table with freshly picked blooms from the garden, pink plates, seasonal fruits and relaxed tie-knot linen napkins.
Tulip Napkin Tie
Here’s another way to arrange your napkins. Try introducing fresh product such as herbs and seasonal flowers such as tulips. I just love this napkin tie, so simple but so elegant. I’ve also written another blog showcasing some of my favourite ways to tie a napkin, check it out.
Mother Nature’s Gift
This cloche flower arrangement is just beautiful. It works great as a centre piece but I plan on creating a few of these and placing them around the house. It’s the perfect way to introduce seasonal flowers into the home in a creative way. Can’t wait to make these!
As soon as I feel the weather start to warm up, I like to take the entertainments outside. It can still get quite chilly so blankets, an outside heater or a fire pit are the perfect outside spring necessities, along with a mix and match cocktail bar of course. Homemade infused gins and fresh fruit juices make the perfect spring cocktail in my opinion. Sugar and Charm have nailed the garden bar, have a look at how they styled it.
Spring Cheese and Crudités Platter
This platter is bright, fresh, and full of fresh spring flavours which is a nice change from the typical Christmas cheese boards that can, at times be very rich and heavy. Include fresh and (if you can) seasonal veggies. Don’t be afraid to add edible flowers to add another dimension to the platter. I also love to mix sweet and savoury, sugared almonds would work perfectly with this colour scheme.
