Simple Delicious Scones


125g butter

3 cups flour

3 heaped tsp baking powder

A pinch of salt

1 ½ tbsp sugar

2 eggs

½ cup warmed milk

A good gulg of single cream



Preheat 215 c.
Place the butter and sift all the dry ingredients into a bowl.

Using your fingers, rub and crumb the butter together with the flour mixture.

Make a well - Add eggs, warmed milk and the cream – using a knife mix it all together.
It will be quiet a sticky dough consistency but place it on to a lightly floured surface.

Pat out the dough (don’t use a rolling pin) to roughly 2 inches thick.

Using a round cookie cutter, cut into shapes and place onto a parchment paper lined baking tray.

Bake for 10 mins

Serve with your favourite jam and clotted cream or in my last min scramble in my kitchen I found some mascarpone cheese, it tasted delicious.
